    DIVER TRAINING

    Introduction

Scuba diving is not a dangerous sport, at least not if you are trained correctly so as to minimise the risks that are involved. Although there are various methods by which to obtain your scuba diving certification, here at Dolphin Scuba Team we use the PADI syllabus.

dive2.gifThis training system provides a progressive route for recreational diver training. With PADI there is a course suitable for all levels, from beginner to professional and this training route can be examined in the course flowchart.

The PADI syllabus of recreational diver training is just one of several organisations that provide diver certification. For the benefit of those people who are just beginning their recreational diving career, a table of equivalent qualification levels offered by some of the different organisations are shown below for your information.

The Dolphin Scuba Team can fulfil the vast majority of your diver training and qualification requirements. We offer a full range of PADI courses suitable for the beginner right through to the already qualified and more experienced diver. The courses we can offer at present are listed below and each are presented by fully authorised, qualified and experienced PADI instructors.

If you are new to diving and would like to learn a little more about the equipment used by a diver please check this page, where you will find some notes of introduction. You can also learn a little more about the history of diving and the man who inspired many people to dive today on the Jacques-Yves Cousteau page.
